The Faculty-Web Server was designed to provide current NU faculty with a basic Web server to make academic materials available to the world. With the advent of newer technology options, we encourage faculty to explore other options now available at NU. Northwestern's Course Management System, Blackboard™, is available for disseminating class-specific materials. Please see below for further information. NU's Depot service is available for storing instructional and research materials that can be made available to world or to a select subset of individuals. Staff members are available to assist you with technical problems 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Scripting is not supported on this server.

Blackboard™ is a Web-based instructional support tool available free to all NU faculty. Blackboard™ combines a course Web site for publishing course materials with other course-related facilities such as threaded discussions, administering and publishing grades, creating an electronic gateway to receive student work assignments and quizzes, and other useful features.
