This site is designed for music educators, offering key tutorials in various
graphic, sound, and website-buidling applications .
Getting Started outlines the software that we have used in our own sites and recommend. Although many of the recommended software applications are cross-platform (PC or Mac), the images and tutorials in this site were created using Mac OSX.
Images and Sound include more detailed descriptions about user-friendly applications and guidelines to get you started.
Design introduces an overview and tutorials on how to begin using Dreamweaver and Flash.
Libraries include images of musical objects and terms (such as Roman Numerals) which can be used as buttons or roll-overs.
Uploading provides information on how to upload your website onto a server (including a tutorial on uploading in Blackboard).
About us. Since we are not technology faculty, our language and design is intended for the beginning website builder. We assume you are comfortable with using a computer and have little or no experience building a website. Many of the applications we discuss have their own detailed tutorials which are much more thorough than ours, but we have found that by just knowing a few basic steps, you can create education, interactive, and fun websites for your students.
